About

Like many, I love to travel and have a mile long bucket list. After searching far and wide for the perfect travel blog and coming up short, I saw a window of opportunity. If I can’t find what I’m looking for, maybe others feel the same way and I can help to fill that void.

  • Me enjoying gelato on a cobblestone street in Croatia, standing in front of a historic stone building
  • Me sitting on a boat with a French braid, watching the wake trail across the blue sea beneath a cloudy sky

Hi! I’m Courtney.

As the website name suggests, I’m someone that loves to slow down and take the long way while traveling. There’s something special about waking up in a new place, sipping your first cup of coffee and deliberating how you plan to spend your day.

My travel itineraries tend to revolve around three main components: exploring, eating and drinking. One of the best ways to experience a foreign city, country or culture is through the local cuisine and you’ll find this in the heart of my posts. I also don’t mind paying a bit more to unlock the best, most authentic experiences when I’m in a new place. Money spent on travel is money well spent.
